Khartoum – Abdel Qayom Ashmeeq
Foreign Ministry spokesman, Obaid Ahmed Marawah undermined the American promises to provide incentives to Sudan in exchange for cease-fire in the states of Blue Nile and South kordofan. He said that America has been promising to provide aid, but Sudan hasn’t seen anything tangible, and nothing has been implemented on the ground, that’s why Sudanese don’t take their promises seriously. Obaid said that the American-Sudanese relation is stalled and it’s not progressing, unlike the European- Sudanese relations. A governmental source said that the Sudanese government has been waiting for the American incentives since the government’s recognition of the new state. Khartoum says that some extremists in the U.S. government are working to foil the efforts to improve the relations between the two countries.
