Israel’s Intelligence Services announced the arrest of a five-map Salafist group in Daboriah village in the lower part of Jalil. Israel claims that the group planned on carrying out several operations within Israel, including an attack on a police station and the kidnapping of soldiers. According the Israeli newspaper, Yediot Aharonot, the five youths were arrested a month ago and indicted today. The 24-year old Islam Abdelkader Khalil Al-Atrash, a student at the University of Haifa, is considered the spiritual leader of the group. Yediot Aharonot said that the other four suspects also study at the University of Haifa and at the Technion Institute. Those accused are: Shadi Ali Ibrahim (aged 19), Mahdi Khaled Masalha (aged 21), Ibrahim Suhail Ikteilat (aged 20) and Ismail Ibrhaim Ikteilat (aged 20). The newspaper claims that the group has been trained to make explosive devices.
