A shooting that erupted during a personal dispute in Tripoli killed two and wounded four Sunday evening in the Bab al-Tabaneh neighborhood. The shooting occurred after a dispute between the Shaaban and Zahra families, the National News Agency reported. Elements from the Internal Security Forces and the Lebanese Army immediately responded to the incident and encircled the area while the wounded were taken to a local Islamic hospital. Periodic fighting has erupted over the past few months between Jabal Mohsen and Bab al-Tabaneh in Tripoli, killing dozens and wounding near 100. Sunday’s shooting appears to be a personal feud and unrelated to broader tensions.
