A Palestinian was killed and 11 injured in a shooting incident which flared up between a group of young men from the Nahr al-Bared  Palestinian refugee camp, and the army in north Lebanon. At six in the evening, Friday,  a group of young men were seen  wandering suspiciously near a Lebanese army post,  following  a dispute over an electric generator which led to clashes after it was suspected that one of the men had a weapon. The army fired shots  in the air and arrested two of the men. One hour later, young men from Nahr al-Bared blocked the two entrances to the camp with burning tyres and demanded the release of the arrested men. They threw stones, at the soldiers who fired in the air in response. A gunman from the group tried to encircle the  army which led to an exchange of fire, killing one gunman and wounding more than ten.
