Hamas\' political bureau leader Khaled Mashaal met Saturday evening Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood Leader, Mohammed Badie as well as the head of Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) Mohamed Morsi, and the party Secretary General Mohamed Saad al-Katatni to discuss the latest development of the Palestinian cause and the reconciliation. Mashaal congratulated Badie for winning the biggest number of seats in Egypt’s parliamentary elections, stressing that Egypt will be a role model for Arab countries in achieving democracy and freedom. During the meeting, they discussed the Palestinian reconciliation issues and the efforts of its implementation to end the division, praising the Egyptian leadership’s role in the reconciliation agreement. For his part, Badie thanked Mashaal and stressed the need to implement the reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas as soon as possible, to unite against the Israeli occupation. In the same context, Mashaal met FJP head Mohamed Morsi and Secretary General Mohamed Saad al-Katatni to congratulate the party for winning the elections. In the meeting, which was attended by a number of FJP senior officials, Morsi stressed on Egypt\'s support of the Palestinian cause, and called to end pending issues in the Palestinian reconciliation.
