Friday morning saw clashes between Lebanese army units and citizens of Bab al-Tabana, one of the poorest neighbourhoods of Tripoli in Lebanon. Security sources told Arabstoday that sporadic gunfire took place after a security breach on Thursday. Shots were reported in the Bal Mohsen area which supports the regime in Syria. In response, the military intervened with an immediate ceasefire without causing any injuries. Sources said the armed men in Bab al-Tabana were supporters of  Lebanon\'s Future bloc and were against the Syrian regime. Clashes ceased before noon after the gunmen disappeared from the streets. Army units were able to arrest three armed men who are currently under investigation.
