Youssef Rizqa, the political adviser to Ismail Haniyeh, the prime minister in the Gaza Strip, has revealed that a Hamas delegation led by the Palestinian movement\'s political chief Khaled Meshaal, will travel to Cairo in a few days to meet with Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi. Rizqa said in a press statement: \"The delegation will travel to Cairo as soon as arrangements are finalised.\" He explained that the team will discuss developments in Palestine and issues such as the political reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas, Gaza\'s electricity crisis, and the Rafah crossing. Mohammed Awad, deputy prime minister in the dismissed Palestinian government in Gaza, confirmed the news, saying Prime Minister Haniyeh would also meet President Morsi. Awad added: “There must be steps to ease the blockade, and to support the Palestinian cause in international forums.” He also expressed his hope that the Rafah crossing would be opened normally to make life easier for Palestinians.
