Jordanian Royal Border guards and Department of Drug Control confiscated large amounts of narcotic pills near the north borders. Public Relations and Media department in Public Security Directorate said that, there was information about some Arabs preparing amounts of drugs to be smuggled into the country through the north borders of the kingdom. The border guards and military security were immediately informed with this information, and they increased the searching patrols in the areas that were expected to be used in this smuggling operation.
Thanks to mutual cooperation and coordination, the guards were able to confiscate a huge bag with 250.000 narcotic pills in it that was hidden in a rocky area near the north borders. The bag was handed over to the Department of Drug Control to start their investigations and arrest the people involved in this operation
