International and Lebanese sources said \"Israeli Infantry supported by three hummer military cars implemented a sweep operation on the border line from the west end of Ghajar up to Shebaa farms which lasted for two hours. Unmanned reconnaissance planes flew over Shebaa Farms and the liberated neighboring areas during the operation. A series of explosions were heard from the west side of Shebaa farms one hour before the Israeli military movement. It was discovered that the explosions resulted from Israeli military training works in the occupied territory in Lebanon. at same time, an Israeli workshop supported with excavators established several earth mounts reinforcing the Aldahrah area. Another workshop reported the installation of military equipment at Rowaysat el-Alam in the town of kafr Shuba.   The area is contested not just by Lebanon but also by Syria who administrated the region up until the Six Day War in 1967 where it was occupied by Israel. The IDF checkpoint at Ghajar has been attacked 33 times between 2000 and 2005.
