Following two days of closure due to Jewish holidays, Israeli authorities informed Palestinian liaison officers that Karm Abu Salem crossing would be opened on Wednesday. Palestinian liaison official Raed Fattouh said he was told to expect 280 truckloads of goods including 10 loads of cement and iron and 30 truckloads of aggregate for UNRWA construction projects. Limited quantities of domestic gas will be pumped through the same crossing while one truckload of flowers will be exported to Europe, he said.
