Israel Defence Forces (IDF) will leave an Iron Dome anti-rocket system in southern Israel, rather than moving it to the central region as part of an exercise as previously planned. The change in plans stems from an escalation of violence as rocket attacks increased on the Negev over the weekend, Israeli Army Radio reported on Wednesday. In the latest attack on southern Israel, a mortar shell fired from Gaza landed in the Eshkol Regional Council on Tuesday night. No injuries or damage were reported in the attack.
