Gaza – Mohammad Habib
Six civilians were injured early on Thursday in Israeli raids on training sites belonging to the Palestinian resistance in Gaza. Eyewitnesses stated that Israeli warplanes bombed ‘Raad’ training site, which belongs to Qassam brigades, east Gaza, injuring six, who were then moved to the hospital to receive treatment. One of the injured is reportedly a fireman. Witnesses pointed that the shelling caused a huge fire in the area, affecting a number of the residents’ houses, and reached the neighbourhood's police station, where police officers survived the collapse of a large part of the building. The Israeli warplanes reportedly carried out a second raid, targeting ‘Wusta Martyrs’ training site, which belongs to Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. However, no casualties were reported. Palestinian sources and eyewitnesses said Israeli warplanes raided open areas near the Separation Barrier, where no casualties were reported either. Four rockets were fired earlier at West Negev and Ashkol, without causing damages.
