Cairo – Akram Ali
A huge fire has broken-out at Al-Aaela monastery in Port Said province in Egypt. The first indications appear to show that a short circuit in a refrigerator caused the fire, which spread rapidly. Firemen and ambulance services are coordinating with the population in putting out the fire and evacuating the monastery. Security sources revealed that both the Muslim and Christian population of the region participated in fighting the fire. The sources said the fire hasn't caused any fatalities although some people were hospitalised suffering from breathing problems caused by smoke inhalation.
