Mohamed Habib, a deputy of Egypt\'s Muslim Brotherhood and member of 35 years, declared his resignation from the group late Tuesday night. Habib announced that he would be joining the Renaissance Party, headed by Ibrahim Za\'farani, former member of the Shura Council of the Muslim Brotherhood. Za\'farani also resigned earlier, saying his ideas align with the platform of the new Renaissance Party. The leaders of the Brotherhood refused to make any comments or discuss any details of Habib’s resignation, viewed as a low blow for the Muslim Brotherhood.
