The GCC General Secretary Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani has condemned the sectarian violence witnessed in Egypt recently, describing it as a painful incident to all Arabs and Muslims. Dr. Al Zayani called upon all Egyptians in a press statement issued here last night to maintain national unity, and reject any sectarianism acts which drives to sedition and corruption between citizens of the Arab World. GCC General Secretary stressed that Egyptians need to preserve its civilizations depth and greatness as well as the role of Egypt in setting the exemplary model of coexistence and interdependence between religions and creeds like Muslims and Christians since thousands of years. He also expressed his confidence and faith in the Egyptian people ability of overcoming these painful events, to create a brighter future which awaits the Egypt’s civilization, he further expresses his condolences to the Egyptian government and families of victims lost during these traumatic events, wishing faster recovery to those wounded and injured.
