Shortly before midnight on Friday an explosion rocked the district of Ruwais in the southern suburbs of Beirut, starting off a large fire, and hitting a citizen. A security source told ArabsToday that the cause of the explosion was a gas cylinder in a residential area close to the Hezbollah complex of “Said Al-Shahdaa”. The source said that the explosion led to a major fire and was surrounded by Hezbollah units of Hezbollah and rescue teams were able to patrol, while internal security forces were unable to reach the region until late Friday night.  Later that night the Lebanese news agencies reported that a citizen was wounded.
