Ramallah- Nasser Al-Assaad
Palestinian official Saeb Erekat had strongly condemned, Friday, the current Israeli escalation against the Palestinian people in Gaza. He said that Israel is seeking to breach the truce, and to thwart Palestinian reconciliation efforts. Erekat, also said in his statements to "Voice of Palestine" that Israel is fully responsible for the results of this escalation and the serious consequences. He called the Palestinian factions to be aware of Israel plans as “the truce does not appeal to Israel,” noting Netanyahu’s government wants to stop the truce, and seeks to escalate tensions taking advantage of world preoccupation with the region's issues and regional developments. Erekat also pointed out that Israeli aggression on Gaza coincides with the escalation of settlements in Jerusalem and Ras Al-Amud referring to the past 24 hours, when three Palestinians were killed and 17 wounded by Israel’s air strikes in Gaza.
