Siemens AG, Germany’s largest engineering company, said the head of its Egyptian industrial unit was found dead on Tuesday. Egyptian police informed Siemens of the death of Hany Loka, Philipp Encz, a spokesman for the Munich-based company, said by telephone today, declining to give more details. Siemens employs about 500 people in Egypt, where it sells gas turbines as well as automation and railway equipment and has annual sales of about 260 million euros ($343 million), Encz said.
