At least six people were killed and 24 others injured when a booby-trapped car exploded near a military checkpoint to the west of Mosul city, north Iraq, Tuesday. The victims include military personnel manning the checkpoint in Al-Tank district of the city, a local police officer told KUNA. The deadly bombing was followed by gun battle between the security forces and unknown militants, the source said.
