An Afghan police officer and five policemen were killed when a bomb tore through their vehicle in southern Afghanistan in Uruzgan province. Pajhwok Afghan News (PAN) quoted a government official as saying that chief of Sarap district police and his assistants were killed yesterday when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle. A man suspected of planting the bomb was arrested, the official said. Nobody claimed responsibility for the incident but Taliban is always accused of such incidents as they frequently use roadside bombing to target Afghan and foreign military forces.
