First Vice-President of the Palestinian Legislative Council, Ahmad Bahar, called for increasing the political, diplomatic and media efforts , both internally and externally, ‘to support our brave prisoners in the Israeli jail, who have been engaged in a hunger strike for more than 11 days.” Bahar, called in a statement, which “Arabs today” has a copy of, on the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to take an urgent action to support the prisoners, stressing on the necessity of the Arab and the international cooperation. Bahar said that the Arab League and its Secretary General, Nabil Al-Arabi, in addition to the Arab and international human rights organizations, should play a prominent role to move the issue of prisoners, by launching international forums and effective campaigns. Bahar also showed his appreciation to the political and diplomatic efforts, but he emphasized that these efforts do not replace the Palestinian resistance. Where he called on them to kidnap more Israeli soldiers in order to free all the Palestinian prisoners.
