An anti-terrorism unit of the Algerian army, on Monday killed three gunmen belonging to al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), security officials have informed Arabstoday. The men were killed in an afternoon ambush to retrieve weapons in the Mazrana town mountains of Tizi Ouzou governorate The same source said security forces had received a tip off on the presence of a militant group in the region. Meanwhile, a bomb exploded on Monday morning  ??in Zemmouri city, Boumerdes governorate, leaving one security aide and a citizen wounded. The two were transferred to a military hospital in the capital for treatment. Local sources said that militants planted a bomb under a security official\'s car and detonated it via remote control, injuring an official and his companion.
