Hamas Senior official Ismail Radwan announced that the Palestinian factions will hold a meeting on Thursday afternoon in the Egyptian Capital, Cairo. Radwas said in a statement the meeting agenda includes discussing the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) file, and oversee the implementation of reconciliation. By this meeting, the Palestinian reconciliation has taken important steps in determining the mechanisms of activating the agreement, after agreeing on reactivating the Legislative Council on February, besides agreeing on the nine members of the Palestinian electoral committee. Meanwhile, a delegation of independent personalities held a meeting in Cairo headed by Dr. Yasser Al Wadia to put mechanisms for the implementation of the reconciliation, as well as discussing the PLO file. Previously, Palestinian president and Fatah chief Mahmud Abbas met Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal on Wednesday evening in Cairo. Fatah delegation chief Azzam Al-Ahmed, the senior official of Fatah, Jibril Rajoub, the Palestinian ambassador in Cairo, and the Palestinian representative of the Arab League attended the meeting. The meeting focused on the results of Fatah and Hamas meetings over the past two days in Cairo, with the participation of all the Palestinian factions that signed the reconciliation on May, and the mechanisms of implementing this agreement. They also discussed Thursday meeting, which includes the reconstructing and reforming the PLO. Thursday meeting will be headed by the president Abbas and will discuss reforming (PLO) to allow Hamas and Islamic Jihad to join. The Palestinian factions have been holding meetings in Cairo since Tuesday December 20, and they agreed on the mechanisms of implementing the Palestinian reconciliation.
