A car containing a bomb blew up in the Afghan town of Lashkar Gah on Wednesday morning injuring six people and killing the driver, the local governor\'s press spokesman Daoud Akhmadi said. The driver had intended to attack a nearby police checkpoint, Akhmadi said. The injured included a policeman and three children. Akhmadi claimed the insurgent Taliban movement was responsible for the blast, but the Taliban have not commented on the attack.
