The head of Libya’s National Transitional Council (NTC) Mustafa Abdul Jalil, received the UAE\'s Minister of Foreign Affairs Anwar Mohammed Gargash and his accompanying delegation in Tripoli. During the meeting, Abdul Jalil commended the UAE government and people for their support of the Libyan people during their revolution, valuing the role UAE played until Libya was liberated. Abdul Jalil said, Wednesday, that UAE was among the first countries that supported the Libyan people, bringing to attention the role played by Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, in supporting in international forums. He stressed on the keenness of the Libyan NTC and the transitional government to promote bilateral relations with UAE in all fields. Anwar Gargash said, following the meeting: \"Both sides discussed ways of boosting relations between the two countries in various fields, especially investment, trade, economic, services, administrative and other sectors highlighting the State\'s keenness on developing relations of cooperation and continuous coordination with Libya\". The meeting was also attended by UAE Ambassador to Libya Sultan Rashid Al Ketoub, Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs Ashour Bin Khayal and Libyan Transport Minister Yousef Al Wahaishi.
