Successful efforts of by Sinai\'s Sheikhs were made for the release of six soldiers and two policemen, who were kidnapped by outlaws of in the early hours of Monday morning. A security source, told Arabstoday that the soldiers were abducted during their return from their service in \"Baloza” checkpoint, in North Sinai governorate. The source, added that a group of armed assailants threatened the owners of agricultural area in Gelbana, which belongs to the Port Said division administration. This pushed the owners to inform the Port Said police of the incident, who arrested two of the thugs. The outlaws responded with the kidnap of the soldiers, in order to put pressure on officials to release their prisoners. A group of smugglers, had kidnapped a number of soldiers on the Egyptian-Israeli border in the beginning of May.
