15 Israelis were injured in an explosion that occurred in a wedding hall in the industrial zone in the coastal city of Netanya. According to the website of the Hebrew newspaper “Yediot Ahronot”, Israeli police sources have confirmed that part of the first floor of the building, where the explosion took place, collapsed on the heads of the attendees. It has been reported that a number of people are still trapped within the building. A large number of Israeli police rushed to the incident in Netanya, along with ambulances and rescue forces. The Israeli police have indicated that the cause of the explosion remains a mystery, while well-informed sources in the Israeli police confirmed that the explosion was not part of a terrorist operation, or an attack carried out by someone of national background. They stressed that the investigation is still ongoing. Israeli radio meanwhile reported that those injured were foreign workers.
