Actress Reem El Baroudy is happy for participating in this Ramadan season through “The International” series with Bassem Samra, Rania Youssef, Ahmad Wafik, Ahmed Fathi, Mohsen Mansour, Mohamed Najati, Fares Saeed, Sahir Al Sayegh, and Donia Abdel Aziz, as she just finished shooting most of her scenes.
She said in a statement to “Arab Today” that, this series is unique and she anticipates its success, because it presents the Egyptians’ real life and discuss the issue of alienation and travelling abroad and all the resulting problems. She added that, she is thrilled to be part of this exciting series that will attract a lot of audience for its thrill and drama, along with the well written human feelings that will accompany the actors and actresses during the series.
She expressed her happiness for working again with director Mohammed Al Nakli and producer Mohammed Fawzy, an experienced producer, who works hard to present the scenes in the best possible way. She plays the role of “Semsema” owner of a beauty shop in Citadel area, who is full of contradictions, but lives according her own respected principles. The series will be aired in few days, and she wished she got the chance to work with Rania Youssef.
She praised Basem Samra for his kind soul and his willingness to help his fellow actors and actresses, as she worked with him before in “Love and horror days”, which was broadcasted years ago.
She often played the character of a local girl, but she always tries to be different, regarding the performance and the look, confirming that, the girl from “Girls’ cheerfulness” is different from the girl in “Chess” and “Salem, the father of his sister”.
Despite all the denial, she congratulated her former fiancé Ahmed Saad during the premire of his new movie “Stay as you are” for his new marriage, saying that, they are old friends and she wishes him all the happiness. She is working with him in “My wife’s fiance“ movie, which was on hold as the participated actors and actresses were busy filming other projects, and this movie requires a lot of travelling especially to to India for the external scenes.
