Lebanese actress Nicole Saba revealed that her series “Diary of Former Mistress” managed to achieve notable success despite its presentation outside the drama season of Ramadan. She added that she is extremely happy for the increasing success the drama show achieved during the recent period.
She praised her experience with Syrian Lebanese joint production, saying that she does not care of the identity of the production company, while to the role she performs. She praised the scenarist, saying that what attracted her to participate in the new series is the good scenario. She stressed her keenness to diversify her roles in the different works in which she participates.
Lebanese actress Nicole Saba said that she managed to prove her efficiency in both drama and cinema works, saying that she will work during the coming period to participate in theatrical performances. She stressed her aspiration to participate in plays during the coming period if she found the suitable idea and good scenario.
She said, “I am happy for taking this new untraditional experience which discussed the rules of privacy.” She praised his experience with the Egyptian drama show "Sons of Nine", presented currently in an Egyptian satellite channel. She added that the series has many social and humanitarian dimensions. She stressed the need for diversifying her dramatic roles, saying that it is important for any actor to perform new roles to satisfy the viewers who need to see extraordinary roles from their favorite artists.
In response to the criticism she has faced because of her choice of Arab drama works instead of Lebanese ones, she replied, “There is no need for critical views because I choose what is suitable for me. Sometimes, I do not find what I want in Lebanon while I find it in Lebanon. Is this reasonable to stop acting only as I do not find the appropriate work in my home country? Rather, this can never decrease my patriotism. However, it is intuitive to be ambitious especially that the Egyptian drama is widely spread while in Lebanon we have recently started upgrading our own drama.”
Nicole ended up saying, “I am so proud of the Lebanese drama which is advanced with the available possibilities and I do not downgrade it but by chance I moved to work in Egypt when I presented the movie entitled “The Danish Experience” (Al-Tagroba Al-Danemarkeya) where I stared the other side of drama as well as cinema experiences. In other words, it is my fate where I met other Lebanese actresses and I am not the only one who did so”.
