The Ras al-Khaimah branch of the Dar Al Ber Society organised a special charitable health campaign related to how to engage and care for diabetic and blood pressure patients.
The campaign course was delivered by Dr. Khalid Waleed Jassir of the Community Initiatives Section at the RAK Medical Zone.
The pioneering scheme, in line with the ‘Year of Giving’ initiative, covered all government departments and civil society organisations across the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah.
Ali Abdullah Al Shehi, RAK Branch Manager, said the event, organised in cooperation with the CosmeSurge and Emirates Hospital Clinics, EHC, saw the presence of Ibrahim Hajaj, Head of the Nursing Section at EHC.
"The personnel present were enlightened on the nature of the two chronic diseases, how to take the right readings and measurements and how to deal with unconscious diabetics and blood pressure patients," Al Shehi added.
The attendees, along with the Al Ber Quran memorisers in Ras al-Khaimah, had a chance to practice what they learned in the course.
Waleed Abdullatif, Deputy Manager of the Dar Al Ber branch in Ras al-Khaimah, said they were grateful to the RAK Medical Zone for their incessant and fruitful cooperation. "They spare no effort to spread medical awareness in the society," he added.
Mahra bint Saray, Head of Community Initiatives at the RAK Medical Zone, said they were keen to make the Year of Giving initiative a big success. "This is in pursuance of the directives of the prudent leadership," she added.
