The Egyptian Center for Public Opinion Research (Baseera) conducted a poll about the opinion of doctors concerning the convening of the Doctors Syndicate general assembly and its decision made on February 12 to offer free services in governmental hospitals.

The decision was supported by 79 percent of the physicians, while 18 percent refused it and four percent could not determine their stance pertaining it.

The Head of Baseera Maged Othman said that the poll was carried out using telephones and mobile phones on a sample grouping 308 doctors in all governorates, adding that the center met them in 25 February, 2016.

About 88 percent of the physicians approved of urgent meeting of the general assembly, while 12 percent thought that the get-together was not important.

The poll showed also that 58 percent of the doctors backed all the decisions made by the general assembly but 22 percent of them supported some of the decisions.
