Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left here on Sunday for Brussels on a 24-hour visit to Belgium for talks on enhancing coordination mechanisms with European Union officials.
The visit comes as part of Egypt's sustained efforts to foster cooperation with its strategic partners.
Shoukry is scheduled to hold an important meeting with the 28 EU foreign ministers on the overall relations between Egypt and the European bloc.
Talks would cover up the framework of relations between Egypt and the European foundations over the coming three years as negotiations have started in February 2016.
