Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa will be honoured on January 25 in Kuwait. His Majesty's Advisor for sport affairs Sahel Bin Hindi paid tribute to Shaikh Isa bin Rashid Al-Khalifa describing the event as a greathonour to Bahraini sport. Mr. Bin Hindi hailed the ceremony which will be held by Hattrick Sports Services in Shaikha Salwa Al Sabah Hall in the Marina Hotel in Kuwait saying that ‘it is a welcomed and kind initiative from our brothers in Kuwait towards Shaikh Isa bin Rashid, who is an icon of local, Gulf and Arab sports. ’He also mentioned that he has received an invitation to participate in the ceremony, stating that he will ensure that he is personally there in honor of Shaikh Isa bin Rashid, whom he counts as a great personality of sport. Mr. Bin Hindi also assured that this well-deserved ceremony is a coronation of all retired athletes in Bahrain, which are embraced in the Bin Hindi Majlis yearly during the holy month of Ramadan under the kind patronage of Shaikh Isa bin Rashid, pointing that Kuwait is a leader in generosity and giving, and that the Arabian Gulf is full of sportsmen deserving of the same recognition Shaikh Isa bin Rashid is receiving. On the same note, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Fahad bin Abdulaziz, the President of the Arab-Saudi Football Federation received a delegation from Hattrick Football Services to record an interview with his highness that will be showcased during the ceremony. A specialized events company from France has arrived in Kuwait to oversee the organization of the ceremony, which will include an operetta concert featuring lyrics written by Kuwaiti poet Salim Sayar, Music from Jassim Alkhalaf and performed by Bahraini artists Ahmed Al Jumairi and Salman Hameed. Princess Lulwa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa will also recite a poem in light of this occasion. The Organizing committee of the ceremony has also declared Mövenpick Bidaa as the official hotel of the ceremony that will play host to invitees. Shaikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa will head the selection committee, which also includes a number of regional football stars.
