H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan

H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, yesterday attended the National Agenda Indexes Government Accelerators Workshop, which is part of the 2017-2021 strategic plan and organised by the Future and Strategy Department in the Ministry of Interior, at the Hilton Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed participated in the workshop’s discussions and commented on several ideas and contributions while stressing the importance of implementing the Ministry of Interior’s strategy for the UAE to be among the best countries in the world in terms of safety and security.
He also issued directives for the implementation of government accelerators in the indexes of all Ministry of Interior sectors to guarantee performance efficiency, to advance the UAE community’s quality of life and the Ministry of Interior’s strategic partnership system.
The workshop was also attended by Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Sha'far, Deputy Interior Minister; Major General Khalifa Al Khaili, Assistant Under-Secretary for Naturalisation and Residency Affairs; Major General Mohammed bin Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Assistant Under-Secretary for Resources and Acting Support Services; Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Interior; Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, General Commander of Ajman Police; Brigadier Saif Mohammed Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, as well as several senior officers and the team working on national indexes.
During a workshop presented by Lt. Col. Abdulrahman Ali Saeed Al Mansouri, Director of Strategy and Future Department at the Ministry, discussions took place on managing special index affairs in the Ministry of Interior, identifying strategic initiatives including the implementation of the national agenda through situation analysis, studying proposed initiatives, coordinating with partners, facing challenges and finding relevant solutions by updating strategic operations.
Several moderators of the Ministry of Interior’s indexes also spoke at the workshop on issues such as the index of the number of deaths in road accidents per 100,000 people, the index of the number of serious crimes per 100,000 inhabitants, the sense of safety index, the dependence on police services index and the emergency response rate index. All the participants stressed the need to support the government’s direction by adopting the concept of government accelerators to achieve the UAE Vision 2021, to be the safest country in the world.
