Following the success of the first event in The Royal United Services Institute's (RUSI) Conflict, War and Culture Series, ‘Hollywood: Fantasy Wars and Real Wars’ is to hold its second event with BAFTA winning documentary maker and actor Ross Kemp and Bryn Parry, Co-Founder of Help for Heroes, in conversation with RUSI Director-General Michael Clarke about their relationship with the military and how the front line affects everyone who goes to it.  The event is to be held on November 22 at RUSI's Whitehall headquarters. Ross Kemp has walked along the road to recovery with a number of British service personnel. In the event he is to share share some new dimensions of his experiences on the front line in Afghanistan during OP HERRICKS 6, 7 and 9 in the making of his landmark TV series; the effect of seeing men wounded and coming home with them; the way it affected his commitment to help them walk that road to recovery, and his role, as an actor, with a charity such as Help for Heroes. Bryn Parry, the Co-Founder of Help for Heroes, served with the Royal Green Jackets and became a professional cartoonist. He has used his cartoons both to describe the charity’s work and to engage other members of the arts world in it.
