H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, attended a mass wedding ceremony on Thursday evening, organised by the Emirates Social Development Society, ESDS, in collaboration with businessman Fahad Al Sheerawi.

The ceremony saw 93 couples tying the knot, as part of ESDS's initiatives during the Year of Giving.

In remarks at the mass wedding, Sheikh Saud hailed the generous support ofPresident His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates to the youth of the UAE.

"We take pride in mass weddings because they further instil family values and strengthen social bonds in the best interest of individuals and the community," Sheikh Saud said.

He congratulated the couples, wishing them a happy marital life and thanked the ESDS and the business community for supporting the initiative.
