Qatar's Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani participated in the 143rd GCC Ministerial Council Session, which was held today, at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh.
The meeting was chaired by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, President of the current session of the GCC Ministerial Council, in the presence of GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
The GCC Foreign Ministers discussed the preparations for the consultative meeting of the GCC leaders to be held in Riyadh, the GCC-US Summit , and the Arab-American-Islamic Summit, which will be hosted by Riyadh on May 21, during the visit of the US President Donald Trump to Saudi Arabia.
The Ministers reviewed a number of reports on the follow-up to the implementation of the decisions of the Supreme Council, as well as the notes and reports submitted by the Ministerial Committees and the Secretariat, the topics related to the strategic dialogues between the GCC countries and a number of global blocs countries.
They also discussed the latest regional and international developments, and means to strengthen international counter-terrorism efforts.
