The Supreme Health Council lauded the directives of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to employ 230 Bahraini nurses as part of the employment scheme for the two fiscal years 2017-2018. A total of 430 Bahraini nurses were employed in the two previous budget session.
Chairman of the Supreme Health Council Lt. General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa praised the directives of HRH the Premier at the cabinet meeting today, stressing that they reflect keenness to provide job opportunities for health sector graduates, including doctors, nurses and allied professions. He pointed out that the council is studying initiatives and mechanisms to boost the Bahrainisation policy in health establishments in cooperation with relevant parties. He also pointed out the ongoing procedures to promote investment in the health sector and provide more job opportunities. He hailed the role of many health institutions, including the Health Ministry, the Royal Medical Services and King Hamad University Hospital, in adopting the Bahrainisation policy and boosting competencies.
The Supreme Health Council Chairman underlined the council’s keenness to follow up on the implementation of HRH the Prime Minister’s directives to follow up on the issue of unemployed doctors and nurses and provide them with job opportunities in public and private health establishments.
