His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has stressed that Bahrain’s rich civilisational and cultural heritage should enjoy more care and be transformed from one generation to another to remain an evidence of the authenticity and distinction of the Bahraini people throughout its long history.
“Bahrain’s ancient traditional crafts must be strengthened, developed and promoted in order to be more productive and viable,” he said.
The Prime Minister made the statements while receiving, at the Gudaibiya Palace today, Royal Family members, members of the business community and senior state officials, with whom he reviewed local issues.
HRH Premier affirmed that the Bahraini people has been able, thanks to its civilisation, to set up a distinguished development and modernisation model that has gained the world’s respect and appreciation.
“The national march will continue unabated in order to build on and optimise the social and economic gains of the kingdom and its people,” HRH Premier added.
The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s keenness on supporting the key role played by the private sector and businessmen to strengthen the pillars of the national economy, and interact with various regional and global economic developments.
This, the Premier said, will contribute to activating the role of the private sector and enhancing its effective participation in the development plans and economic policies.
