His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met on Tuesday at Al Bateen Palace with outstanding grade12th students from the schools of the UAE and the students of the Abu Dhabi Education Council schools, Adult Education, and Applied Technology Institutes, who were accompanied by their parents.
The meeting was attended by Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, Jameela bint Salem Al Muhairi, Minister of State for Public Education, teachers and educationists from different educational zones of the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan stressed that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, encourages excelling students, cares for them and provides all helpfor them to continue their excellence within the frame of its vision for innovation and education as a path to the future and in preparation for the post-oil age.
His Highness said that the outstanding students in schools, institutes or universities, present a role model to all children of the nation with their determination and strong will to receive education to benefit their county and to serve its development goals.
He urged the youth in the different stages of education to not only aspire to graduation but to seek excellence in order to compete in the global arena of progress.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his appreciation to the efforts made by the Ministry of Education, the Education Councils, and teachers to elevate the educational standards in the UAE and called on to them to continue spending more work and effort for a world-class education in the UAE.
His Highness congratulated the outstanding students and their parents and encouraged them to continue the journey of excellence during the upcoming stages of education and in professional life. He also praised the role of the family in preparing the students to excel.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan exchanged with the students, their parents, and the teachers, greetings on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan. He also engaged in conversation with the students about their future aspirations and their hopes in serving their nation and community.
The students and their parents expressed their thanks for President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan for his support of education and his keenness to provide all means for the students to excel. They also expressed their gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for following up and providing all tools and capabilities for them in order to enhance educational system to the highest levels.
