Education Minister Dr. Majid bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, in the presence of the Ministry’s Deputy Assistant for General and Technical Education Nasser Mohammad Al-Shaikh, attended a training program session titled 'The New Talented' at Al Marifa High school for Girls. Twenty-eight school principals and assistants attended. Dr. Al-Nuaimi reviewed key educational issues, stressing the importance of training the participants on mastering the skills that assist in performing leadership roles. Addressing the participants, he underlined the importance of continuing of developmental projects that have yielded many positive results. He pointed out the crucial role of the Improve School Time Project which provides sufficient time for students to analyze, engage class discussions and complete homework. The minister announced that thirteen clubs would be set up at high schools to enable students to complete their homework, join tutoring classes and profit from sport facilities and learning resource centres. He reiterated directives to promote the concepts of human rights, tolerance in school curricula and sport activities. He also revealed that media campaigns would be stepped up to promote the Improve School Time Project, using brochures and billboards, in addition to the mass media.
