The defense lawyer who has taken on a Jordanian soldier’s case accused of killing U.S. soldiers, Wednesday, filed an appeal in a bid to clear court ruling life in prison with hard labor.
First Sgt. Ma’arik al-Tawayha, was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison on Monday for the deaths of 3 U.S. soldiers, whom he shot at Jafer airbase in 2016.
Lawyer, Subhi al-Mawas, asked in his appeal the sentenced person be acquitted or be declared not criminally responsible for the charges.
