His Majesty King Abdullah II on Wednesday congratulated French President Emmanuel Macron on assuming his constitutional powers as new president of the French republic.

In a telephone call, His Majesty said he looks forward to working with the new French president to cement relations between the two countries to serve their common interests and enhance peace and stability in the Middle East and across the globe.
