Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Mahmoud Friehat, on Monday signed with Cypriot Defense Minister Christoforos Fokaides an agreement to establish closer cooperation in the defense domain between the two countries.

The agreement seeks to cement military ties between the armies of both countries.
