His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa today arrived in Jeddah on a visit during which he will hold talks with Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud on the deep-rooted historic relations, in addition to the latest regional and international developments and issues of mutual interest.
HM the King was welcomed upon arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Deputy Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
He was also welcomed by Interior Minister His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Minister of State, Cabinet member and Royal Court Chief Khalid Al-Isa, Culture and Information Minister Dr. Awad Al-Awad, Bahrain’s ambassador to Saudi Arabia Shaikh Humood bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and Jeddah-based Bahrain’s General-Consul Ibrahim Al-Meselmani.
HM the King took pride in the deep-rooted historic relations, further strengthened by the close ties and the bonds of fraternity between the leaders and peoples of the two countries.
In an arrival statement, HM the King hailed the two countries’ deep historical roots and shared fundamentals and visions, which are expanding bilateral relations.
HM the King reiterated Bahrain’s unwavering support to Saudi Arabia in combating terrorism and all those who support and fund the scourge of terror.
He backed the dedicated efforts led by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud to strengthen cohesion and bolster unity in order to confront all challenges which threaten regional security and prey on the Arab and Islamic nations.
He stressed the importance of standing united to maintain countries’ security and stability and enable them to overcome this critical phase of their history and achieve progress and prosperity.
“We affirm that the whole Muslim World stands with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in its dedicated endeavours and leading role in defending the Islamic nation and championing its causes,” HM the King said.
HM the King affirmed that the Muslim World takes pride in the Saudi care for pilgrimage and responsibility for organizing the Hajj season.
He expressed full confidence in the success of the Hajj season and hailed the facilities provided for pilgrims to perform their rituals in total serenity, paying tribute to the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for its tremendous care and great efforts to ease the performance of hajj.
HM the King valued the Saudi-led efforts to enhance the standard of services and facilities put at the disposal of all those who visit the holy sites.
