His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa has ratified and issued four laws for the year 2017, following their endorsement by the Shura Council and Council of Representatives. The new legislations include law 18 of 2017 on Penalties and Alternatives Measures and law 19 of 2017 on the promulgation of the Family Law.
HM the King has also ratified and promulgated law 20 of 2017 endorsing the state general budget for the fiscal years 2017-2018, as well as law 21 of 2017 on amending some provisions of the decree-law 15 of 1977 on the issuance of development bonds.
