His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in Jeddah today on a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during which he will hold talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on deep-rooted historic fraternal relations between both countries as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
HM the King was welcomed on arrival at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Makkah Deputy Governor His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Minister of Commerce and Investment and Head of the Mission of Honour Dr. Majid Al Qasabi and senior officials.
After being greeted by the Guard of Honour, HM the King gave a statement in which he expressed happiness about meeting King Salman to discuss with him the latest developments in the region as part of continuous coordination to serve the best interests of both countries and peoples and the GCC ones.
HM King Hamad expressed appreciation of solid historic fraternal relations between both countries’ leaderships and peoples, commending the unwavering honourable stances of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of King Salman, in supporting Bahrain in its efforts to preserve its security and stability, stave off threats and face foreign interference. He also congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Saudi Crown Prince on the kingdom’s historic accomplishments at all levels.
HM the King reiterated Bahrain’s unflinching support to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting all forms of terrorism and those supporting and funding it. He commended Saudi Arabia’s efforts to boost unity and rally ranks in handling challenges likely to threaten regional security as well as the achievements of the Arab and Islamic nations. He wished King Salman and the Saudi Crown Prince abundant health and a long life, wishing Saudi Arabia more security, stability and prosperity.
