Gilani said that the demand for early elections was the “old technique of the have-nots to become haves.” “However, we will act according to the constitution,” the prime minister said. According to The Gulf Today correspondent Tariq Butt report, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif warned the government to desist from introducing a massive increase in the rates of electricity, gas and petroleum products. Gilani said that those who were declaring the PPP as a threat to Pakistan were political orphans.
