Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman al-Safadi on Monday made a telephone call with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian, congratulating him on assuming his appointment as foreign minister.

Al-Safadi said he looks forward to working with Le Drian to strengthen bilateral relations and develop cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

The two ministers tackled the situation in the region and efforts to resolve its crises and achieve security and stability, as well as cooperation in the war on terrorism.
