H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chief Executive of Emirates Group, has visited Dubai Electricity and Water Authority’s, DEWA, stand AccessAbilities Expo 2017.

He was accompanied by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA; Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board and Director-General of Dubai Health Authority; Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, Dubai; Mohammed Ahli, Director-General of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority; Khalifa Bin Darrai, CEO of Dubai Cooperation for Ambulance Services; Sami Al Qamzi, Director-General, Dubai Economic Department; Ahmed Abdul Karim Julfar, Director-General of the Dubai Community Development Authority; and a number of senior officials from DEWA and other government entities.

DEWA is taking part in the event as a strategic partner as part of its efforts to empower people of determination, and get them involved in the UAE’s and Dubai’s efforts to enhance sustainable development.

"We are confident that the exhibition will open new horizons for public and private organisations, to cooperate with each other to support people of determination in the UAE, and create a brighter future for them. The exhibition achieved great success in its first session last year, in terms of the participating international entities, centres of people of determination, and visitors from inside and outside the UAE," said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA.

Al Tayer added that DEWA derives its vision from the leadership of the UAE Government, which places the happiness of stakeholders at the top of its strategic priorities. DEWA’s role is not only to provide electricity and water services of the highest quality, efficiency and reliability, but also to serve as a socially-responsible government organisation. This supports the directives of our wise leadership, and the Dubai Plan 2021, to make Dubai a tolerant and inclusive society, which embraces civic values, he concluded.
